Fixing directly to bare treads

  1. Snap or mark a centre line the full length of the flight.
  2. Cut the runner to length with 2-3 in extra per step for tensioning.
  3. Staple into the back corner of each tread and the base of each riser, working top to bottom.
  4. Pull the runner taut over the nosing before stapling the next riser so it does not bag.
